Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment

This course is for you if you’re considering, or already working within, the construction and civil engineering industry.

To work on a construction site you will need to have a valid CSCS Green Card.

There are three stages to obtaining your CSCS card:

  • Complete this course, which leads to a fully accredited Level 1 award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. This qualification is an essential part of your application for your CSCS card.

  • Go to a CITB Touch Screen Test centre to book your CITB HS&E test.

  • Once you have passed both of the above, apply for the card.

This course can be done online, on a laptop or a mobile device.

On this course you will learn:

·         The purpose of risk assessments

·         The importance of safe manual handling

·         Working safely at height

·         Risks to health

·         Working safely around plant and equipment

Following completion of the course you will need to take an exam which can be done online from your home or workplace. You and your screen will be recorded via webcam to ensure you complete the exam under regulated exam conditions.

Please note you will need a laptop or desktop with webcam to complete this course and exam.
