Information Sharing with the Police

In this course, we will look at the Caldicott Guidelines. This course sets out to enable you to understand why it is important to develop good working relations with the police, and how the sharing of information fits with this relationship. The duration of this course is 20 minutes and can be completed over multiple sessions. Learning Objectives: • Why we need to work with the police • How you should respond to a request for information from the police • When you must share information with the police • How information should be shared • The issues involved in gaining consent from individuals to share their information • How to request information back from the police
